Stu Allen moved to the Bay Area in 2005 to join Melvin Seals & The JGB Band, of which he was the lead vocalist/guitarist for the next seven years. During this time he has become one of the leading figures in the jam band and Grateful Dead-inspired community, expressing his flavor of music through a variety of projects. He has fronted a number of Dead tribute acts, including a tour with the nationally touring Dark Star Orchestra. This path has culminated in the formation of his current project, Stu Allen & Mars Hotel, which was birthed hosting the weekly Grateful Dead Night at Ashkenaz in Berkeley, and now plays around the Northern California area. He belongs to Bay Area favorites, The Ghosts of Electricity, a tribute to the music of Bob Dylan

Mitch Stein is best known for his work with CRYPTICAL, Groove Division, Johnny Nitro & The Doorslammers, The Malone Brothers, The SSV Trio (with bassist Tony Saunders and drummer Bill Vitt), and scores of other Bay Area and national artists (see groovedivision.com for full bio).
